The printer indicates low toner! How replacing the consumables can help to enhance the performance of the OKI C511DN printer?
When the LCD display indicates “Low toner”, or if the print appears faded, open the top cover and tap the cartridge a few times to evenly distribute the toner powder. This will enable you to obtain the best result from your OKI C511DN toner cartridge. If the results are still not appropriate, try the following:
- Press the cover release and open the top cover of the printer.
- Note the positions of the four cartridges. It is important that they go back in the same order.
- Slide the coloured release collar on the cartridge to be replaced fully towards the right-hand side of the printer.
- Lift the right-hand end of the cartridge and then draw the cartridge to the right to release the left-hand end, and take out the OKI C511DN toner cartridge out of the printer.
- Put the cartridge gently down on a piece of paper to prevent toner from stains.
- Clean the top of the ID unit with a clean, lint-free cloth.
- Remove the new cartridge from its box but leave the wrapping material in place.
- Gently shake the new cartridge several times to loosen it and distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
- Remove the wrapping material.
- Hold the cartridge by its top centre, lower it into the printer over the image drum unit from which the old cartridge was removed.
- Insert the left end of the OKI C511DN toner cartridge into the top of the image drum unit first and push it against the spring on the drum unit, then lower the right end of the cartridge down onto the image drum unit.
- Gently press down on the cartridge to ensure that it is firmly seated, slide the coloured collar fully towards the left-hand side of the printer. This will lock the cartridge into its place and release the toner into the image drum unit.
- Gently wipe the LED head surface with a clean, lint-free cloth.
- Finally, close the top cover and firmly press it down at both sides so that the cover latches are closed.
